Parenting in Good
Humor: Finding Sanity Hildee Weiss's Parenting in Good Humor opens an interesting perspective for those of us who have not been burdened with children, such as myself, and it does bring to mind the terrors I inflicted upon my own parents. Hildee Weiss has captured many moments of what it is to be a parent and presents it with a humorous twist. From tales of the early days to moments just prior to the 'teen' years she conveys what it's like to be a parent of five children. Parenting in Good Humor is entertaining and, in some instances, educational. But one of the major shortcomings I found is that is doesn't go deep enough into the tales told. I get the impression that what is presented here is just the tip of the iceberg. I'd be nice to see her explore, in greater detail, the events presented. There are some formatting issues (incorrect front matter layout, inside margins are a bit too wide) but none of them are annoying and shouldn't distract from enjoying the book. There are few other issues that prevent enjoyment of Parenting in Good Humor and in fact, I recommend this to anyone that has children, is about to have children, or is just curious about the life of a parent, there are some wonderful insights inside.
